What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spa General Manager position at Shoji Spa & Lodge?
- The Spa General Manager's primary responsibility is to provide oversight of Shoji's daily operations to ensure operations run efficiently and cost effectively. Implement and enforce policies & procedures, review & analyze financial performance, and assist with the development of effective marketing programs. Directs all work towards the overall financial growth of the company. Strong business acumen (budgets, expenses management, P&L statement analysis, basic accounting), knowledge of HR activities, and excellent excel skills required.
Responsibilities
- Model and hold others to Shoji's Standards of Service and Behavior
- High Level of Customer Service and support to Reception phones
- Direct Supervision of staff
- Coach, counsel and mentor staff
- Prepare agendas, participate and conduct regular staff meetings
- Plan, organize and participate in projects
- Draft internal/external written communications as directed by Owner
- Review, update, establish & enforce policies & procedures
- Monthly Financial Review
Assume primary role in Budget development process
Assist in development of new, seasonal and/or promotional spa services and endure that all staff are properly trained on new offers
Ensure Company's policies & procedures including all critical business information is clearly & on a timely basis communicated to all employees
Preparation, review and/or distribution of monthly employee work schedules
- Evaluate staffing levels, recruit as needed & interview
- Review & analyze employee pay rates.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints & take appropriate action.
- In conjunction with management team, develop, coordinate marketing campaigns including newsletters, seasonal campaigns & promotions, Shoji website, social media, & on-line web listings
Schedule:
Tuesday through Saturday
- Saturdays required
- Holidays required
- Day shift and some night shifts required

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
