Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with legal case management, including organizing and maintaining case files
- Route documents
- Provide administrative support such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars
- Compose basic letters
- Open new files
-Send faxes, make copies, send letters; answer phone as needed
- File pleadings and documents, ensure their receipt, and ensure that service of the documents has been made
- Conduct phone interviews with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal cases
- Obtain and organize medical records
- Transcribe, format and spell check dictation
- Maintain document management systems and ensure accurate and timely filing of legal documents
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using document management systems and legal software applications
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document review and analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
- Ability to conduct effective interviews to gather relevant information for legal cases
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team by providing administrative assistance. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases and contribute to the success of our clients.
