In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with disabilities as they navigate through the complex process of applying for SSD benefits. This role primarily focuses on managing cases during the hearings level, ensuring that clients are well-prepared and represented during administrative law judge hearings.
The Hearings Case Manager is expected to :
- Work collaboratively with the Hearings Case Manager Assistant, attorneys, and / or representatives on cases at the Hearings Level
- Utilize a moderate level of discretion and independent judgement to delegate tasks to the Hearing Case Manager Assistant which may include any of the following : contacting Social Security Administration (SSA) & The Office of Hearings Operations (OHO), and / or clients at time; sending off paperwork - such as closing / withdraw letters to clients, SSA, and / or OHO; calendaring various tasks and / or clients appointments; collecting medical records; maintaining client files - ensuring client files / records are accurate and up-to-date adhering to organizational and regulatory standards
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, including SSA regulations, professional codes of conduct, and client confidentiality.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
In addition, with other duties that may be assigned.
