Job Description:
As the Office Administrator, you will take on a variety of responsibilities that support our business operations. You will manage payroll, assist in HR functions, and contribute to basic bookkeeping tasks. If you are a motivated, self-starter with a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration:
- Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Manage employee payroll records
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Human Resources:
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including benefits enrollment and orientation
- Maintain employee records and ensure they are up to date
- Handle employee time off tracking and scheduling
- Support recruitment efforts as needed
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
- Bookkeeping Support:
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as data entry, invoicing, and processing payments
- Help with monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Maintain organized filing systems for accounting documents
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in payroll, human resources, and/or bookkeeping
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Heartland)
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and HR best practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the job
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- High level of confidentiality and integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks.)
- Familiarity with state and federal labor laws
- Previous experience in a small business environment
