Are you a dynamic and motivated individual with a passion for leading a team? We are currently seeking a Department Lead to join our fast-paced retail environment. As a Department Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a department within our store. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a proven ability to motivate and inspire others, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of employees in the department, including conducting regular team meetings and providing coaching and feedback
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that shelves are adequately stocked at all times
- Create and implement strategies to increase department sales and profitability
- Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures
- Assist in hiring and onboarding new employees, as needed
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote repeat business
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for department staff and provide recommendations for improvement
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position, preferably within the retail industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proven ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
