About ShoreCorps/AmeriCorps:
ShoreCorps is a State AmeriCorps program, funded in part by the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism. AmeriCorps is a civil society program supported by the U.S. federal government, foundations, corporations, and other donors engaging adults in public service work with a goal of "helping others and meeting critical needs in the community." Members commit to full-time or part-time positions offered by a network of nonprofit community organizations and public agencies, to fulfill assignments in the fields of education, public safety, health care, and environmental protection. The program is often seen as a domestic Peace Corps. It employs more than 75,000 Americans in intensive service each year.The Boys & Girls Club at Pocomoke High School is seeking a Full-Time AmeriCorps member to serve as a Lead Youth Development Coordinator for the 2023-2024 service year.
Position Description
Delmarva Public Media (DPM) is seeking a full-time AmeriCorps member to serve as a Marketing and Membership Coordinator for the 2025-2026 service year.
Delmarva Public Media is a three-station collaboration between Salisbury University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. We operate 89.5 WSCL, 90.7 WSDL, and 91.3 WESM public radio stations which air local, NPR, and American Public Media news in addition to a diverse selection of music, including classical, jazz, blues, and adult album alternative format.
Member Responsibilities:
- Assist membership in basic day-to-day database management and analytics.
- Produce monthly newsletter(s) delivered electronically to DPM members and supporters. Provide monthly analytics and recommendations for improvements.
- Create marketing/sales one-sheets, brochures and other collateral.
- Create and manage social posts for membership campaigns (membership drives, newsletter sign-up, vehicle donations, etc.). Provide analytics and recommendations for improvements.
- Research donor and sponsor prospects for membership and sales teams.
- Assist in coordinating member events e.g. ticket giveaways, meet and greats, member-only events in collaboration with a music venue.
- Assist membership department in membership drives including mass mailings (print letter, stuff envelopes, open return envelopes, manage checks received), social posts and thank-you cards and gift fulfillment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for applicants include the following:
- Have a strong interestin serving the community
- Be able to relate to diverse populations
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Able to provide copy of either high school diploma, GED, or college transcript
- Have reliabletransportation
- Be available to attend the free, AmeriCorps class at SU alternate Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., during the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive Criminal History Check, which includes FBI fingerprinting
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or lawful permanent resident alien
- Applicants DO NOT need to be college students, anyone from the community who fits the above requirements may participate.
Additional requirements as specified by DPM:
- Basic knowledge of and experience with database systems (e.g. Donor Perfect), email systems (e.g. Constant Contact), design software (e.g. Canva), PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent writing and creative skills
- Analytics and reporting skills (or interest in learning)
- Organizational skills and ability to independently manage projects

This position would primarily be a regular 9-5, M-F position, with occasional weekend and evening duties.
The member will begin on or after August 15th, 2025 and must complete 1700 hours by August 14th, 2026.
This position is offered through a partnership with ShoreCorps, the AmeriCorps program at Salisbury University. It is contingent upon federal funding and approval of the AmeriCorps office.
