Recruitment and Retention Specialist
Shorehaven, located on the west side of Oconomowoc, is a well-known and respected leader in the field of providing services to seniors. This position is a new opportunity within our HR department. The Recruitment and Retention Specialist will have responsibility for sourcing and attracting employees to meet the staffing needs and the mission of Shorehaven as well as helping to assure a successful experience for new and existing employees!
The Recruitment and Retention Specialist is a full-time position with some flexibility regarding the daily schedule and the need to be available when candidates are available.
Essential Job Functions will include:
- Build and maintain applicant sources using social media and other internet sites, community services, schools, and print media.
- Write and place job advertisements to attract applicants making the best use of budget. Evaluate and when appropriate, participate in job fairs in school and community settings.
- Review online responses, making contact with selected candidates to facilitate the process and move them to active candidate status.
- Collaborate with supervisors to assist in screening applications and scheduling interviews. Conduct interviews as needed, providing feedback to hiring supervisor.
- Act as a point of contact and build candidate and new hire relationships. Maintain knowledge of Shorehaven policies and benefits to assist in providing direction to employees.
- Work closely with other HR staff to assure background checking and the new hire process run smoothly.
- Assist in onboarding of new employees. Follow up with new staff to assure they assimilate to our Shorehaven culture and are welcomed by other staff. Follow up with supervisory staff to help resolve concerns.
- Assure job descriptions reflect current position requirements and duties; assist with needed edits.
- Promote and encourage use of nursing tuition/general tuition reimbursement programs at Shorehaven; maintain records for all Shorehaven tuition/loan programs.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of social media and recruiting websites.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing skills with excellent knowledge of grammar and spelling.
- Knowledge of relevant employment law.
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, business, HR or other related field.
- At least two years’ experience in sourcing, interviewing and evaluating candidates. Will consider recent grad with internship experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
