Per quarter salary calculation : Base multiplied by class load %, ex. : $20,575 base

Faculty at Shoreline will have an array of students from differing programs in their classroom, including professional technical and university transfers. Shoreline seeks a candidate that can identify and mitigate the barriers to success that many students face and be passionate about creating an equitable learning environment that supports success for all students.
Typical duties include providing instruction, including theory, clinical, and skills labs, and developing curriculum and assessing program outcomes. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will support the department's efforts to create an equitable and accessible learning environment for all.

Physical Work Environment :
The College is currently in mixed (both in-person and online instruction) operations, with the option for some assignments to completed in an online environment based on program or area needs. For remote (online) instruction, faculty will need to provide their own workspace and internet access, noting the College will provide technical equipment and support for online work needs. For on-campus in-person instruction, work is usually performed in a classroom / clinic / lab space that requires standing and / or sitting for extended periods of time. Faculty typically use computers, media equipment, and lab equipment in the work environment.
Terms of Employment / Salary :
This is a part-time, non-tenured, quarter-to-quarter assignment. Salary is dependent upon the number of contact hours for this assignment as provided in the agreement with the Shoreline Community College Federation of Teachers. Hiring of this position is contingent upon available funding as determined by the College President.

PART-TIME FACULTY POSITIONS
A part time faculty member becomes eligible for benefits at the beginning of the second consecutive quarter of half time or more employment at one or more Washington state institutions of higher education. Spring and fall quarters are considered consecutive quarters for benefits eligibility. Half time is determined based on each institution's definition of full time.
A part time faculty member must qualify each quarter they teach to maintain eligibility. Once eligible, part time faculty will be notified of their benefit and retirement options.
