What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Representative position at Shorr Packaging Corporation?

- Process new customer credit setup requests including processing and reviewing customer credit applications, communicating the decision with the Shorr Account Executive, escalating issues, and following up on open applications. This includes leveraging credit trade references, bank reference and google searches when necessary.
- Leverage Dun and Bradstreet reports to determine credit worthiness of customer accounts
- Monitoring credit worthiness and authorizing release based on customer circumstances and information from related parties.
- Assist with billing activities, including portal submissions, summary invoices, and changes to customer requirements.
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of credit experience including managing a customer credit portfolio
- Experience with MS applications including Excel
- Experience with an ERP system
- Experience with Dun and Bradstreet reports including running reports, evaluating and analyzing credit data and making credit limit recommendations
- Experience with risk analysis
- Familiarity with tax exempt certificates is a plus
