What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Host position at Short's Brewing Company?
Short’s is now seeking a Seasonal Hosts for our brewpub in Bellaire! This isn’t any old restaurant host position – we’re looking for someone who can keep our pub running like a well-oiled machine. It’s all about giving great experiences, making lasting memories, all while working for one of the (self-proclaimed) raddest breweries in the state.
The Hosts at Short’s are the first people to warmly greet guests as they arrive and are ambassadors of the Short’s and Starcur Ciders brands. They emulate our company’s ideals by creating a stellar customer experience environment in our pub unlike any other. Host duties include taking guest information upon arrival, managing the wait-list, and ensuring everyone is seated in an organized fashion. Hosts should be able to remain calm and flexible during very hectic situations, make teamwork a priority, and must be extremely organized. They must also have the skills to draft and send text messages, as well as use point of sales equipment and iPads, all while maintaining a positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude. Hosts should be prepared to work days, nights, and weekends, as well as during all busy seasons and some holidays.
Applicants should be able to meet the physical requirements of being on his or her feet for the entire work shift and be able to walk up and down a flight of stairs several times a day.
