What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Event Support / Stage Hand position at Shoulak Music - Twin Cities?
Bach To Rock (“B2R”) America’s Music School for students of all ages is currently seeking a part time event support staff / stage hand to work as a part-time employee supporting our team with events that will typically take place outside of our school locations, around the Twin Cities metro area.
Event Support Staff / Stage Hands at Bach to Rock may not necessarily be instructors or front desk staff, but may just be scheduled as needed on-call when events are taking place when additional hands are needed for set up or tear down.
Position Responsibilities:
- Arrive early to the school to confirm materials are ready for the event
- Transport the materials safely to the event location
- Assist the B2R on-site team with set-up and/or tear down of materials as needed
- Assist at school events (on and off-site)
- May repair equipment as needed and able
Requirements:
- Must demonstrate an understanding of the gear they will be asked to transport and set up
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle that will be used to safely transport the gear to external events
- Effective time management and organizational skills to stay on time / punctual for our community events
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities
- Experienced performer (preferred, but not a requirement for this role)
- Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians (preferred, but not a requirement for this role)
- Ability to interact effectively with children and adults
- Ability to pass a background check
Details:
- Compensation begins at $18/hr
- We are looking for someone who can offer at least 3 days a week, especially weekends, Friday/Saturday/Sunday
- We are looking for someone who will be reliable to keep the relationships with our community partners strong
- Cannot teach at another music lessons facility within 5 miles of our location
Bach to Rock offers the opportunity to work a flexible part time schedule in a fun environment with other like-minded musicians. We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing and other business aspects of the lessons & group classes so that instructors can focus on teaching. These events that you'll help with are imperative for our schools to grow.
B2R offers an hourly rate that is based on education, experience, expertise, and availability.
