General Statement of Responsibilities: Will perform standard library functions of checking out books and Chromebooks to students and coordinating the Chromebook carts for checkout with teachers. Will also update bulletin boards in and around the library, order and keep stock of updated library materials (magazines, news articles, books, etc). Will also host students before/after school and at lunch for library access. Will also be stationed in the Talon classroom to proctor tests and monitor students so that the learning environment can be overseen during the semester.
Principal Duties: (Essential Functions)

- Assist students with placement testing, registration, and submission of coursework.
- Oversee the learning environment and monitor students
- Proctor assessments
- Work with college instructors and district personnel
- Utilize classroom technology to support student connectivity and the learning environment
- Maintain attendance and perform miscellaneous record-keeping tasks
- Request the document equipment repairs
- Maintain security of lab and its contents
- Keep inventory of equipment and materials
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills Required: Excellent oral and written communication skills. College-level proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics. Ability to work effectively with various student and staff personalities and abilities. Ability to maintain a positive, pleasant demeanor during stressful situations. Ability to work persistently and cohesively with NPC/TALON staff to ensure student success. Proficiency with Word Processor, database, and spreadsheet software, and the internet. Ability to troubleshoot minor technology issues. Ability to multi-task and move quickly and easily from one task to another. Strong Organizational skills are necessary.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the following physical requirements of the position with or without accommodation: Sufficient physical dexterity to use telephone, computer keyboard, and other electronic equipment. Critical sensory requirements include vision(corrected to 20/20), hearing or listening in the normal range (corrected), and speaking and giving directions clearly.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and proficiency in word processing and data entry. College degree preferred. Tutoring or teaching experience preferred.
