Blue Sage Cannabis Deli is a Missouri-owned and operated dispensary and a subsidiary of Show-Me Organics, which operates leading cannabis brands like Vivid, Buoyant Bob, and Missouri's Own.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of our cannabis dispensary operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with deep industry knowledge to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service while maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispensary operations, including opening/closing procedures
• Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability
• Establish and monitor KPIs for all departments
• Ensure efficient cash management and banking procedures
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Team Leadership

• Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff across all departments
• Create staff schedules and manage labor costs
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback
• Lead team meetings and training sessions
• Foster a positive workplace culture focused on excellence
• Manage employee conflicts and disciplinary actions
• Ensure proper staffing levels across all shifts

Compliance Management

• Ensure strict adherence to all state and local cannabis regulations
• Oversee compliance training programs for all staff
• Manage relationships with regulatory agencies
• Prepare for and manage compliance audits
• Stay current with industry regulations and implement changes as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Oversee security protocols and procedures

Customer Experience

• Ensure exceptional customer service standards
• Handle escalated customer issues and complaints
• Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements
• Maintain product knowledge training programs
• Ensure accurate patient/customer education
• Oversee quality control of products and services

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of retail management experience
• 3 years of cannabis industry experience
• Must be 21 years or older
• Strong understanding of cannabis regulations and compliance
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with POS and inventory management systems
• Valid state-required cannabis worker permits/badges

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous dispensary management experience
• Experience with METRC or similar seed-to-sale systems
• Background in pharmaceutical or healthcare management
• Retail chain management experience
• Knowledge of cannabis products and industry trends
• Multi-location management experience

Schedule Requirements

• Full-time position (40 hours per week)
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• On-call availability for emergencies
• Ability to work holidays as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to be mobile throughout the facility during a complete shift
• Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Extended periods of standing and walking
• Computer work and documentation
