Position Overview: Are you a tech enthusiast eager to gain real-world experience in the IT field? Join us as an IT Support Intern at Showplace Cabinetry. In this internship role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals, providing crucial support in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a college student finishing their first or second year, looking to apply classroom knowledge to practical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

User Assistance:

1. • Assist end-users with technical issues through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person.
   • Learn and apply troubleshooting techniques for Windows 11, iPads, Android handheld barcode scanners, Kyocera printers, and various internally developed applications.

Collaborative Support:

1. • • Work closely with IT professionals to address user concerns across multiple manufacturing locations.
     • Provide remote and on-site support as needed, gaining exposure to diverse IT challenges.
     • Documentation:
     • • Keep detailed records of support interactions, resolutions, and common user queries.
       • Contribute to the development and updating of standard operating procedures and user guides.

Application Insight:

1. • Gain exposure to internally developed applications, assisting users and escalating complex issues to the development team.
   • Learn about application workflows and ensure a positive user experience.

Device Management:

1. • Assist in the management and troubleshooting of mobile devices, including iPads and Android handheld barcode scanners.
   • Participate in device deployment and configuration activities. 

Printer Support:

• Learn about printer-related inquiries and contribute to troubleshooting and maintenance efforts for Kyocera printers.
• Collaborate with experienced team members and vendors for problem resolution.

Training Opportunities:

• Engage in training sessions to enhance your skills and understanding of new technologies.
• Contribute to the creation of user-friendly guides and documentation.

Team Collaboration:

1. • Work collaboratively within the IT team, participating in meetings and contributing fresh perspectives.
   • Assist with various tasks that contribute to the team's overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college program with a focus on Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Windows 11, iOS, Android, and eagerness to learn about manufacturing-related applications.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Education and Certifications:

• Completion of the first or second year of college.
• Interest in pursuing relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
