Overview:
Join our team as a Fleet Manager where you will oversee the maintenance and operation of our company's fleet of vehicles. We are seeking a skilled individual to ensure the efficiency and safety of our transportation operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle usage and minimize costs
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and overall fleet performance
- Manage driver schedules and assignments to maximize productivity
-Establish one-on-one relationships with drivers to sustain and uphold Shred Experts team oriented culture
- Maintain truck maintenance records on a weekly basis, and schedule needed services
- Understand the basics of a heavy-duty diesel mechanic and be able to work with service shops and/or parts counters on necessary repairs
-Collaborate with facilities assistant to maintain a cleanly and organized work environment at our headquarters in Saginaw
-Purchase supplies needed for truck fleet and facilities
-Perform 1-2 shred routes per week, with requirements of lifting 50-75 pounds, operating with a CDL-B and valid medical card, and a clean driving record
Skills:
Required:
- Proven experience in fleet management and maintenance record tracking
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
-Ability to perform annual DOT Inspections on trucks
Nice-to-have:
- Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic experience
- Knowledge of environmental regulations related to fleet operations
