Responsibilities will include the design of a variety of transportation projects, for the Washington State Department of Transportation, Sound Transit and other Local Public Agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of designs for roadway and civil projects including roadway, trail, sidewalk, erosion control, storm drainage systems (including natural drainage practices), water transmission systems, sewers, earthwork, ADA ramps, pavement overlays, traffic signal systems, illumination, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), channelization, signing, traffic control and maintenance of traffic.
- Preparation of project plans, specification, reports, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Help to resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project.
- Collaborate with other team members, professionals and disciplines across multiple offices.
- The ability to work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- Prepare plans and roadway modeling using AutoCAD / Civil 3D and / or MicroStation / OpenRoads
- Perform project administrative duties including maintaining records and preparing reports and correspondence.
- Perform effective technical writing and correspondence
- Assist Project Managers in a variety of project administrative duties. Such as maintaining records and preparing reports and correspondence related to the work.
- Perform other duties as assigned

This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $72,000 - $80,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and PTO.
