Job Overview
The Administrative Assistant provides key support to the Director of Research and Research Administrative Manager, as well as support to Principal Investigators and laboratory personnel.
This position is part time (20 hours per week), non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $26.52 - $39.78/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities
Required:
Must have the skill to analyze data, problem solve and communicate effectively and tactfully in both written and oral forms. Experience word processing, transcription, minutes, scheduling, heavy phones, maintenance of files and record keeping systems, ordering supplies, as well as other general office duties. In addition to processing reimbursement requests, maintaining personnel roster, poster printing, assist in audio/visual suport for seminars, coordinating visits/travel of candidates and personnel, setting up of meetings both on-site and offsite, arranging group dinners and organizing seminars/meetings. The assistant will also help with grant submissions, proofing, reading proposal, and editing.
Preferred:
Two years experience in Executive Level or Senior Executive support in a hospital or university setting.
