Job Description:
This role is a non-exempt, sales clerk position responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will be able to greet and serve customers in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
- Keep assigned area neat and clean as well as stocked and faced
- Operate all aspects of the POS system including processing sales, returns, checks, and credit card payments
- Accurately make change and process Food Stamps and WIC payments (where applicable)
- Be aware of and promote store incentive programs such as Customer Loyalty Card and gift cards
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience as a cashier or in a customer service position
