The hiring range for this position is $70,000 to $82,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. Responsibilities
- Manage daily engagement across SHRM’s social media platforms—responding to comments and messages, initiating dialogue, and upholding a positive and professional tone.
- Strengthen audience connection by creating and curating content that encourages interaction, sharing, and dialogue on key workplace issues.
- Develop and maintain social engagement guidelines to ensure consistent, on-brand interactions across platforms.
- Monitor platform trends, audience sentiment, and user behavior to identify timely opportunities for engagement or issues that need escalation.
- Collaborate on content planning with the Social Content Specialist and design team to support campaigns, thought leadership, and organizational initiatives.
- Leverage social listening tools (e.g., Meltwater, Social Studio) to track conversations, spot trends, monitor brand mentions, and surface actionable insights.
- Support editorial calendar management by aligning engagement strategies with content launches, campaigns, and key initiatives.
- Work across departments to ensure a coordinated, consistent voice and engagement approach on all platforms.
- Analyze performance metrics and engagement trends to inform strategy, reporting, and content optimization.
- Stay current on emerging features, algorithms, and audience behaviors on major platforms to continuously improve SHRM’s digital presence.
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional marketing initiatives as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years in a digital or social media role, preferably within an agency or in-house brand team.
- Experience managing audience engagement on social platforms.
- Deep understanding of major platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok, Threads, etc.) and their engagement best practices.
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Meltwater, Social Studio, Trello, Slack, and similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adjust tone and content for various audiences and channels.
- Strong organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to turn insights into action.
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
