The Director of Business Operations is a foundational member of the executive team that will support the rapid growth of Shyftoff. This will require someone who is both “hands-on” and able to see the big picture. This role combines financial oversight with strategic business operations, analytics, and project management. The Director will play a critical role in supporting the CEO and executive team with financial modeling, reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. You will manage all financial reporting, financial planning, and business operations, ensuring that our organization stays on track to achieve its strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead the preparation of all financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Provide detailed insights into financial performance to support business decision-making.
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models that inform strategic planning and decision-making. Ensure accurate forecasting and budget management, advising the CEO on financial implications and trends.
- Strategic Planning & KPIs: Collaborate closely with the executive team to define, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs). Help set long-term strategic goals and ensure all departments are aligned in achieving these targets.
- Business Operations Support: Oversee and optimize business operations, ensuring cross-functional coordination and efficient resource allocation. Identify process improvements to streamline workflows and increase organizational effectiveness.
- Project Management: Take ownership of strategic projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet company objectives. Ensure clear communication across teams to drive projects to successful completion.
- Decision-Making Support: Provide actionable financial and operational insights to the CEO and leadership team, aiding in high-level decisions that drive company growth.
- Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with sales, operations, product, and development to gather data, support business decisions, and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of finance, financial planning & analysis and/or business operations experience
- Preferred experience within high-growth technology companies
- Experience working at a top consulting firm is a plus
- Experience working within the Business Processing Outsourcing and/or Call Center industry is a plus
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Experience in project management, with the ability to lead strategic initiatives across multiple teams
- Ability to think strategically while being hands-on with day-to-day operations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Advanced knowledge of financial software, Excel or Google Sheets, and analytics tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SQL and Python a big plus
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, multitask, and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Highly collaborative with a deep sense of ownership and accountability and willing to roll up sleeves and dive into the details

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
- CPA is a plus
