The Role: As the Adhesives Application Lab Tech, reporting to the Principal Chemist - Rubber & Adhesives, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory operations under minimal supervision from senior staff members. You will also have the autonomy to suggest alternative or supporting approaches within the scope of the laboratory operations conducted within the functional area.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Conduct and support complex experiments with minimal supervision from senior staff.
• Collaborate effectively with a team to drive innovation and problem-solving.
• Prepare and deliver clear, timely reports in both written and verbal formats.
• Manage multiple assignments while coordinating with colleagues for efficient workflow.
• Operate and maintain adhesive application instrumentation, including viscometers, mixers, and coaters.
• Assist with the maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory equipment.
• Perform routine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on primary lab equipment.
• Develop expertise in application and analytical instrumentation required for projects.
• Ensure lab equipment remains in optimal working condition.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical testing with precision.
• Assess materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and legible laboratory records.

Creating Extraordinary Starts With:

• BS degree in Chemistry or related sciences or;
• ASc degree and 2 years related industrial experience
• Previous experience in an applications lab preferred

• The salary range for this position is $55,000-85,000 annually. The specific salary offered will be determined by a variety of factors including location, experience, and education.
