Job Overview:
The Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates to fill sales representative positions. This includes working closely with hiring managers, developing job descriptions, utilizing various recruiting channels, and conducting interviews to hire sales reps who are motivated, goal-oriented, and ready to drive sales for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales leadership team to understand job requirements and candidate profiles for Sales Representative positions.
- Write clear and engaging job descriptions to attract qualified candidates for residential roofing sales roles.
- Post job openings on job boards, social media, and industry-specific platforms.
- Use direct sourcing methods such as networking, referrals, and outreach to attract high-quality candidates.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and assess candidates’ sales experience, motivation, and cultural fit for the company.
- Schedule and facilitate in-person or virtual interviews with hiring managers.
- Manage the candidate pipeline and provide regular updates to hiring managers on the progress of each search.
- Conduct background checks and verify references for shortlisted candidates.
- Assist in onboarding new hires by preparing training materials and conducting orientations.
- Maintain a database of qualified candidates for future hiring needs.
- Stay up-to-date with recruitment best practices and adjust strategies as necessary to attract the best candidates in the competitive sales market.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a recruiter, ideally with experience in recruiting for sales or construction roles.
- Knowledge of the residential roofing industry or construction sales is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Strong ability to source candidates using various methods, including job boards, social media, and networking.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple positions at once.
- Ability to assess candidates for sales aptitude, motivation, and fit within the company culture.
- Strong interviewing and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for recruiting, branding events.
Compensation:
- $60k /- $5k depending on experience
