As we rapidly evolve and expand worldwide, we are in search of an individual to assume the role of Payroll Specialist. This key position requires a dynamic, adaptable, and knowledgeable professional who aligns with our company culture and is dedicated to maintaining operational efficiency.
Job Duties:
- Accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll using the Paychex Flex payroll system
- Reviewing pay computations and associated deductions for precision
- Staying informed about city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll, and ensuring compliance
- Coordinating payroll processing with Paychex Flex service provider and preparing necessary tax filings
- Addressing and resolving employee inquiries and issues related to paychecks or payroll reporting
- Monitoring and correcting time and attendance compliance with the company policies
- Collaborating with HR on employee onboarding, terminations, pay adjustments, and benefit withholdings
- Assisting the team with payroll-related matters
- Recording payroll transactions in the General Ledger
- Generating various reports for management (headcount, overtime, insurance requirements) and supporting audits
- Preferred certification as a Certified Payroll Professional
- High School Diploma required associate degree in accounting or similar field preferred
- Preferred 3-5 years of related experience
- Proficiency in Paychex Flex payroll system and Human Resources Information Systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Process improvement mindset
