Job Summary
This role involves performing heading preparation, blasting, and mucking duties for sublevel mining operations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of explosives, utilities, services, and ventilation, as well as experience with mine equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs heading prep, blasting, and mucking duties
- Determines the amount of explosives, placement, and firing of explosives
- Operates underground equipment (loaders, trucks, etc.)
Qualifications and Skills
- Must meet and maintain qualifications for working with explosives per the Safe Explosives Act
- Working knowledge of utilities, services, and ventilation
- Must meet the Task Matrix Proficiency Levels for a Sublevel Miner 2 (See Task Matrix in HR Office)
