As Director Compensation and Benefits NAM, you will have broad responsibility for leading daily activities and programs related to compensation and benefits programs that directly impact Sibelco NAM’s success. Aligning our people strategy with our business strategy, you’ll design, implement, and lead the structure, platforms, and operational strategies for both existing and new HR programs. You will help leaders with data-driven recommendations for innovative programs as well as iterate on current programs to improve performance, retention, and the colleague experience. You will ensure that compensation, benefits, and other reward programs are forward-thinking and competitive, support the delivery of our desired colleague experience, and align with Sibelco’s culture, values, and business strategy.
As a part of the Sibelco HR Team, the Director C&B, you will be reporting to the VP HR Americas with a dotted line to the Global Director C&B.

Your Impact in This Role
As the Director HR, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- In partnership with the Global Director Compensation & Benefits, designs and implements Total Rewards strategies, including compensation, benefits, wellness, and recognition programs, to provide competitive, cost-effective, and appealing offerings for employees.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and HR to ensure Total Rewards initiatives align with organizational goals.
- Development, implementation, and administration of a competitive benefit program that supports the organization’s ability to attract and retain top talent.
- Benchmark benefit programs to maintain functional excellence and manage vendor relationships to ensure superior service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, including the ACA, and prepare for audits conducted by internal teams or government entities (IRS, DOL, OFCCP).
- Management and administration of the 401k plan, including all compliance and fiduciary activities.
- Evaluate, select, and manage employee benefit programs (retirement and health & welfare) to ensure competitiveness and cost- effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain compensation structures including creation or maintenance of a salary grading system that leverages career framework principles and aligns to our culture and values.
- Design, implement, and evaluate competitive compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and job evaluation systems
- Advise HR and leadership on salary structures, pay decisions, policy interpretation, and job evaluations.
- Lead the annual compensation processes, including merit reviews, market adjustments, promotions, bonus allocations, and equity distribution.
- Develop data-driven recommendations segmented by site, function, or position, ensuring budget alignment and clear communication.
- Administer annual bonus programs for management and executives, including calculations, approvals, and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (FLSA, DOL) and maintain internal pay equity.
- Conduct regular market analyses to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry benchmarks
- Partner with leadership to provide data-driven recommendations for compensation strategies
- Create and maintain HR metrics to measure functional performance and identify enterprise-level workforce trends.
- Use data analytics and market research to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with finance and accounting teams for accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of total rewards expenses.
- Lead training initiatives and workshops to educate management on total rewards programs.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in total rewards or combination of benefits and compensation experience in a fast-paced, industrial, manufacturing, retail, field services or logistics industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred; additional experience considered in lieu.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and inform strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in compensation/benefits planning software and HRIS, with preferred experiences in Workday and ADP.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-specialist audiences.
- Highly commercial and entrepreneurial approach, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
