Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Basic knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred:
- Law firm or professional services firm experience
- Ability to type 55 wpm

Responsibilities:
Incoming Fall Associates:
- Coordinate all onboarding activities such as monitoring New Hire Paperwork, etc.
- Gather associate practice area and practice group interests
- Find first assignments for incoming associates based on interests
- Assist with identifying Associate Advisors for new associates
- Update all New Hire/Incoming Associate charts as needed
- Coordinate planning, executing, and attending Welcome Breakfast, Advisor Lunch, and New Associate Reception
- Prepare materials for orientation, name tags for various events, etc.
- Assist with new associate conflicts
- Gathering conflicts reports and coordinating with Conflicts team in Chicago
- Reaching out to associates for updates to conflicts as needed
- Send clearances and screens to Local Human Resources
- Collecting and organizing bar information
- Collect bar status surveys and enter information into Bar Status Chart
- DC Bar application emails and reminders
- Send bar information and updates to Local Human Resources
- Assist with new associate conflicts
Assignment and Compensation of Associates:
- Assist with coordinating various Compensation Committee, Litigation Lunch and practice group review meetings
- Assist with assembling, quality checking and delivering review binders and envelopes
- Update Litigation Face Book for Fall Litigation Review Meeting
- Update practice group hours charts
- Attend and take notes at review meetings for review later
Litigation Associate Development Committee (LADC)
- Compile Monthly Hours Report
- Send out bi-weekly Capacity Planning Survey to associates
- Compile report and send to LADC members
- Assist with assigning associates to LADC members and updating matrix
- Assist with staffing projects
Events:
- Create and circulate invitations for events. Send reminders as needed
- Coordinate planning, executing, and attending various events for ARC (happy hours, Family Picnic, Halloween Party, Town Halls, holiday event, etc.), Associate Advisor Program (Welcome/Farewell events, Luncheons), and Women’s Committee (Quarterly Lunches, Dinners, Holiday Happy Hour, etc.)
- Updating program budgets following events
- Coordinating food, set up, floral arrangements, equipment and A/V, etc., as needed
- Securing venues and entertainment for off-site events
Additional Responsibilities:
- Copying, scanning, and distributing materials for various meetings including Compensation Committee, Co-Chair, and LADC
- Complete and send bar and government employment verifications
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating Mid-Level Associate Career Development Meetings
- Draft and send New Lawyer Announcements
- Draft and edit Exit Interview Summaries
- Assist with executing the annual DC Bar Firm Billing process
Washington D.C. Applicants: Salaries may vary by location. In Washington D.C., the estimated target salary range of this role is $70,000 - $85,000, in addition to bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefit package, including healthcare. Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to, the relevant market and the skill, experience, class or graduation year, and education of the selected candidate.
