What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Counselor position at Sidney Public School District?
Sidney Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for a certified Elementary Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year. Sidney Public Schools is a progressive and student centered school district located in Western Nebraska, along the I-80 corridor, 90 miles east of Cheyenne, Wyoming, 2.5 hours from Denver Colorado.
The applicant must have a growth-minded disposition that reflects the desire to build capacity for all learners, the ability to implement social/emotional learning opportunities, the ability to implement research-based best practices, along with the knowledge to interpret data to make informed decisions for the benefit of student achievement and success. This position is an 10 month contract.
Candidates must hold a valid Nebraska Certificate by July 1, 2025.
Salary is dependent upon experience and education. Benefits include retirement, full family health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, leave, and short-term & long-term disability. Specific information is available upon request.
