Job Summary
IT Generalist I is responsible for performing overall information systems planning, implementation, and administration in a variety of IT functional areas.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support IT system end users by diagnosing and resolving technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Analyze business needs and contribute to the selection of IT hardware and software to support internal business processes.
- Contribute to the overall information systems planning, implementation, and administration.
- Install and configure network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, and monitor network performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of methodologies, processes, and specifications of the organization's IT systems and assist with the planning and scheduling of IT initiatives.
- Implement basic security measures to protect systems, networks, and data and ensure backup strategies and recovery plans are up to date.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 1 year of network support / helpdesk experience
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid response times
- Demonstrate attention to detail, collaboration, and teamwork
- Capable of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated proficiency to communicate effectively, both internally and externally
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing in an office environment
Travel Requirement
- Ability to travel < 10%
Shift/Schedule
- Onsite work Monday through Friday; core working hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm
