Your role
New Business
- The target customers in the broader geographical area of Boston. Include emerging, mid-size and large Pharma companies possessing mid/late-stage clinical development projects and commercial products comprised of API(s) & advanced intermediates
- Formulate and implement New Business Development (NBD) strategies based on market research and industry insights
- Engage in Siegfried social marketing activities to raise awareness of company offerings & planned events
- Support client visits to the various sites within Siegfried's global manufacturing network.
- Orchestrate mutual efforts with our global and local departments to grow our business. Plan and align with our customers on their requirements, forecasts and firm orders to help ensure the seamless execution of their new business within our global network
- Work with technical teams to evaluate and assess new projects enabling the preparation & submission of written proposals.
- Develop contracts with new customers (in conjunction with Siegfried departments involved) and remain responsible for their monitoring and compliance.
Knowledge and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within a pharma CDMO is a must have criteria. A strong understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is what we are looking for
- Any further knowledge of the API services pharmaceutical industry (Business Development, Sales, R&D, production, project management) will give you an edge
- BSc / MSc / PhD degree in chemistry / natural sciences / chemical engineering / is preferred
- The most important requirement is to be driven and possess an entrepreneurial mindset. You love strong teamwork, and are also fully capable to work autonomously to achieve your overall goals
- A high degree of resilience and determination will be needed, as the industry landscape is competitive and requires an individual capable of effectively conveying Siegfried's value proposition
