Position Description :
Siema Construction is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with a strong work ethic to maintain, repair, and service heavy machinery, including excavators and dozers. This role requires expertise in diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Position Requirements :
What We Require!
- Five (5) years of diesel mechanic experience; Diesel mechanic degree preferred.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must possess a safe and clean driving record.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Understand computer diagnostics on equipment and trucks to make repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Test drive trucks and overhaul equipment to diagnose malfunctions and ensure operating efficiency.
- Using micrometers and gauges, inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to examine parts for damage or excessive wear; replace parts as needed.
- Replace defective engines or subassemblies, such as transmissions.
- Use of computer / laptop
- Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
- Possess a brake certification.
- Strong work ethic
