Work across organization and across the world in real and virtual teams.How You’ll Make an ImpactSupport the Siemens EnergyIndustrial Application steam turbine technical services business with creatinginspection plans, reviewing findings, developing repair plans, supporting shoprepairs, and writing reports for existing equipment.Update fleet records toreflect steam turbine and valve configurations and support the technicalservices case queues by reviewing fleet data and answering questions asked byinternal and external customers.Provide technical supportand leadership for root cause investigations, inspection and repair quotesupport to the marketing organization, and technical instructions tomanufacturing, supply chain management, or field service for disposition ofproduct deviations.Lead and / or support steamturbine R&D projects by performing calculations, ensuring drawings areissued to required dates, and completing tasks within allocated budgets.Provide mark-ups andinformation to direct drafting personnel so that they may correctly reviseexisting engineering drawings and / or create new engineering drawings. Review,modify, and sign-off engineering drawings.Provide technicalinstructions to the field in support of turbine installation or troubleshootingactivities and support business cost reduction and process improvementinitiatives.What You BringBachelor of Science inEngineering required. Mechanical field preferred.3 years of relevantexperience required, with at least 1 year of technical engineering experiencewith rotating equipment. Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineeringprinciples required; Candidates with more years of experience may be consideredfor a higher- level position.Problem-solving mentalityand the ability to collaborate with internal and external business partners tocreate solutions.Rotating equipment productknowledge and familiarity with the product design.Knowledge of root causeanalysis and the process, and curiosity about creating customer-focusedsolutions.Additional Preferred Skills : Rotating equipment designexperience, preferably of steam turbines.Background in reliability,manufacturing, design, or operations of rotating equipmentAdditional Details : Approximately 25% travel,both domestic and international with ability to obtain a passport.Occasional work duringoff-hours and weekends is required to support 24 / 7 operations.Must be willing to relocateif not in commuting distance of Houston, TXApplicants must be legallyauthorized for employment in the United States without need for current orfuture employer-sponsored work authorization.
