How You’ll Make an Impact
- Preparation of technical specifications, verification of supplier bids with clarifications, technical supplier negotiations including risk assessment and commercial selection support for- Air Intake system, Exhaust Gas system, Noise Enclosures, and Fire Protection system.
- Reviewing internal and external designs and documentation.
- Support procurement department regarding technical issues.
- Coordination with Lead Engineer, Customer, Procurement, Suppliers, other Engineering departments, and Project Management.
- Ensuring alignment of the supplier’s solution with requirements specification, customer needs, and interface partners.
- Attend manufacturing shop inspections, perform field/site support during installation, commissioning and warranty.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5 years related technical experience- for those with more years of experience we can consider for a higher-level opportunity.
- Detailed knowledge of auxiliary mechanical systems of a gas turbine, such as air intake, acoustic enclosure, ventilation, firefighting.
- Capability to handle cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work as part of a larger global engineering team in a collaborative manner.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form and to interface within a wide range of organizations both internally and externally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
