A Snapshot of Your Day

The Procurement Specialist role provides supplier selection, negotiation, and purchase order processing at external suppliers. They identify SCM suppliers or process gaps, develop and implement mitigation measures. They support target costing and ensure On-Time delivery.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Responsible for supplier selection, negotiation and order processing and On-Time Delivery for complex machined parts. Support target costing for parts and projects.

Monitors On-Time delivery performance of external partners and develops improvement measures as needed.

Support usage and further expansion of Procurement digitalization tools.

Coordinate, communicate and maintain all dates and information for assigned responsibility to ensure an accurate, on-scheduled and economical processing and optimized supply regarding customer needs.

Support Non-Conformance resolution with external suppliers in cooperation with internal Quality Management.

Act as the interface between customers and suppliers.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, business administration, engineering or a related field or High School Diploma.

1 years of professional know-how and experience in supply chain management.

Travel will be required as needed.

Must have profound analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience being an excellent team player is a must. Good technical knowledge, ideally experience with machined parts.

Solid professional judgment and problem-solving competence is a must. Able to question the Status Quo and to improve existing processes and approaches. Proactively shares knowledge within own team. Impact on results in own area. Internally acknowledged member within specialist field!

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
