What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Strategy Manager position at Siemens Energy?
A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, your day might start with an exchange with one of the IMB (Independently Managed Businesses) strategy heads to share and be aligned on the latest market & internal news, ongoing initiatives and outlook on next key strategic achievements. You'll then lead a strategy project team meeting. Throughout the day, you'll engage with cross-functional teams to ensure your project team gets all support needed / information required. You'll gather and analyze feedback from internal stakeholders and external partners, implementing critical measures to drive the project forward. By the end of the day, you'll might review progress on your and other projects with the entire strategy team ensuring all activities align with TI’s (Transformation of Industry) overall strategic objectives, and for sure prepare for the next day's challenges.

Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Increasing electrification and efficiency are key and demand for green H2 and derivative fuels will rise. We enable decarbonization of the industrial sector and the transition to sustainable processes, building on a strong industrial customer base, a global network, diverse technologies, and integrated execution capabilities. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Collaborate on exciting strategy projects across all SE Business Areas as part of our #oneteam initiative.
- Lead and implement impactful TI-level and IMB strategy projects, driving success and innovation.
- Form and direct dynamic project teams across various units, inspiring them to achieve key achievements and deliver outstanding results on time.
- Partner with TI’s IMBs and their strategy departments to align and support strategy formulation and implementation, ensuring cohesive and effective outcomes.
- Support the SE TI Portfolio & Business Strategy team in strategic planning and other initiatives, including joint projects with sustainability, innovation, market, and digital teams, contributing to our forward-thinking vision.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or other relevant subject area. (Master or PhD a plus)
- Over 10 years of experience in strategy departments, BA Transformation Industry businesses, Transformation Industry technologies, or management consultancy, with a proven track record of successful strategy/consulting projects.
- Strong business insight, analytical skills, and ability to prepare and visualize complex facts for Senior Management using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Team player with experience in international and cross-functional teams, effective communication skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
- Proactive collaborator with high energy levels, strong sense of responsibility, and ability to manage and lead complex projects in a large, diverse global organization.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
