Our Sacramento-based train manufacturing plant, a Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock Division facility, is expanding. We are the top North American producer of passenger locomotives, coaches, and light rail vehicles.
As an Assembly Specialist, you will contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced production environment, working on the final assembly of the world's best rail vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete mechanical assembly of component parts and sub-assemblies, utilizing engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Understand and interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, and instructions.
Safely operate power and hand tools.
May require certification for use of specialty tools and equipment, including fall protection, forklift, and crane.
Properly complete work order documentation, quality documentation, and labor hour tracking.
Meet quality and workmanship standards set by the company.
Meet production schedule, quality requirements, and labor hour budget with minimal supervision.
Train other team members on assembly techniques and procedures.
Comply with all safety standards, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
Requirements for Success:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic English skills, including ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate effectively verbally.
General mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of metric system measurements.
Prior experience in assembly of large, complex capital equipment.

Starting pay of $17.00/hr. (plus shift premium of 10% for second shift and 20% for third shift).
