The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We are looking for a Brake Press Machine Operator II – 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm ET). This position will be based at our Wendell, NC location.
In this role, you will:
- Operate a Trumpf Press Brake.
- Perform simple Brake press setups to form steel, aluminum, galvanized and copper per engineering drawing specifications.
- Load, setup and run offline programs for bending metal parts.
- Work directly with or under the direction of a Group Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Read engineering drawings for steel, aluminum & galvanized parts.
- Work with ISO/work standards.
- Complete confirmation documentation in a manufacturing data management system.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure functioning and safe working conditions.
- Access and utilize various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products in assembly for completion of confirmations (e.g., Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, Production sequences, Part Drawings, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:
1 year of experience/knowledge in Brake Press setup and operation.
Experience with selecting and changing Press Brake tooling.
Must have in depth knowledge of flat pattern layout and bend deductions/ allowances.
Must be able to independently analyze and solve problems as they arise bending sheet metal parts.
Must be able to calculate tonnage requirements for various sheet metal parts.
Must be able to read 2D & 3D blueprints, apply basic shop math, digital literacy, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools.
Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
Work standing for the duration of a shift.
Stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
Must be able to reach, grasp, lift 50lbs, and push/pull/slide material.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent

- The pay range for this position is $24.79/hour $1.00 Shift Differential. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
