What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workstation Specialist position at Sienna Systems Corporation?
Sienna Systems is looking for a motivated Workstation Specialist to join our team in Fort Knox, Kentucky. The Workstation Specialist is responsible for supporting end-user devices across the U.S. Army Human Resource Command (HRC) enterprise, providing standardization of the workstation while enabling and managing customizations as needed.
Technical Duties And Functional Responsibilities
- Supports end-user devices across multiple configuration requirements. Image, deploy, install, patch, sustain, and recover to support workstations as appropriate.
- Process requests for image development, image change software packages, and other workstation management across multiple tiers of support. Includes management of touch-labor incidents for VIPs and Multi-Function Devices.
- Test, manage, and sustain customized images across the managed fleet of workstations, comprised of multiple software and hardware configurations within multiple environments.
- Perform installations and coordination of workstation updates, cyber security packages, software updates, and baseline development activities, to include documentation, resolution, and notifications to leadership (when requested), the team and end-users.
- Perform maintenance and hands-on troubleshooting on government-furnished IT equipment, such as printers, laptops, and monitors.
- Package and deploy application installations and patches.
- Install routine system updates and maintain required IAVA compliance standards.
- Provide Tier 2 IT Support to a customer base of 3,000-4,000 total Active-duty military, government civilian, and government contractors.
- Perform other tasks as required by BME and the Government contracting team.
Required Qualifications/Education And Experience
- Must have a valid CompTIA Security certification.
- Must have and maintain a Secret Security Clearance or higher.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of workstation best practices and standards.
- Effectively operate and communicate within a team-oriented and collaborative environment and continuously work to develop strong working relationships across organizations.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong critical-thinking skills, as well as hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrate ability to support tasks and issues through to completion.
- Ability to work independently after being trained, stay up-to-date with the latest process changes, widespread issues, and trends, and retain knowledge of resolutions to various IT issues
- Ability to create effective and professional customer service experience.
- Must be available to primarily work on-site (telework options to be determined after training).
Preferred Qualifications/Education And Experience
- Net , CompTIA A , CCNA, or MCSE Certifications preferred.
Salary: up to $55,000, depending on experience
