What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audit Intern position at Sierra HR Partners (Price, Paige & Company )?
Price Paige & Company has a paid internship position available for the Fall of 2025. The Audit Intern will be given a variety of accounting and auditing assignments across nonprofit, governmental, and privately owned company sectors. The Audit Intern will be expected to work in a team-focused environment to ensure work is completed timely and accurately.
Intern responsibilities will vary by department, but generally include:
- Become familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures.
- Assist in the upload of trial balances, creation of audit workpapers, and preparation of financial statements.
- Reconciles client records to trial balance, which may include analytical procedures.
- Perform audit procedures over cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, revenues, expenses, and other audit sections as assigned.
- Expected to provide ideas to improve client’s systems and operations during the engagement.
- Performs other accounting, auditing, and consulting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
- Effectively communicates with supervisory personnel.
- May assist other team members as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Be currently enrolled in post-secondary institution with a major or emphasis in Accounting.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to be effective and efficient in both team and individual capacities.
- A team player mentality with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Proactive and motivated individual who takes initiative for professional growth.
- Have a valid California driver’s license for client commute.
- Have personal vehicle for client commute.
- Have current auto insurance policy with at least minimum requirements for California.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States upon hire.
