Position Summary:
The Marketing & Events Specialist plays a key role in enhancing our brand visibility and community engagement through event coordination, content production logistics, and vendor collaboration. This position supports continuing education (CEU) events, manages marketing timelines, assists with content development, and ensures cohesive brand execution across platforms and events.
Event Coordination
- Plan and manage logistics for CEU events, mixers, and open houses, including scheduling speakers, booking venues, preparing materials, and managing registrations.
- Coordinate staff and vendors for onsite and offsite events, ensuring smooth execution.
- Oversee speaker travel and accommodations when necessary.
Content & Brand Support
- Coordinate photo and video shoots at company facilities for use in social media, website, and print marketing.
- Work with marketing vendors to maintain a consistent visual identity and voice.
- Draft or edit event fliers, support group materials, and branded print collateral in collaboration with the marketing team or external designers.
Vendor & Social Media Support
- Schedule content and social media posts in collaboration with an external marketing vendor.
- Track deliverables and deadlines for social content, promotional materials, and campaign timelines.
- Maintain a content calendar and ensure alignment with upcoming events and campaigns.
Community Engagement
- Support outreach efforts by creating promotional materials and event follow-ups (surveys, thank-yous, etc.).
- Maintain professional relationships with speakers, referral partners, and community stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience in event planning, marketing, or communications (internships count!)
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Comfortable working with both internal teams and external vendors
- Proficient in Canva, Microsoft Office/Google Suite; familiarity with Mailchimp, Eventbrite, or similar tools is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus):
- Experience in healthcare, mental health, or non-profit settings
- Light video editing or social media scheduling experience
- Bilingual preferred (if applicable to your community)
Work Environment:
- Hybrid environment with some in-person responsibilities at events or for onsite content capture
- Occasional evenings or weekends for events
