JOB TITLE:Male Safety Aide, Physical Education, Classified EmployeeDEADLINE: open until filledLOCATION: Loyalton High School, Loyalton, CA, for Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified School DistrictSALARY: PE Safety Aide: $16.00-$17.79 per hour beginning wage Maximum five years credit for related experience beyond minimum requirements may be granted for initial placement on the salary scheduleBENEFITS:Vacation and sick leave; no health benefits ASSIGNMENT: Part-time, 5.25 hours/day, 10 month employee; Begin August 23,2023DESCRIPTION:The position will have the following responsibilities: Under the supervision of the physical education teachers, provide supervision in the Boys locker rooms during high school and middle school physical education classes;Under the supervision of the physical education teachers, assist with supervision in physical education classes; Monitor and supervise school hallways and movement of pupils during outdoor passing times. Knowledge:Individual should be familiar with middle school and/or high school physical education programs. Some experience with high school students is highly desirableAbilities:The individual should have the ability to:Stand, walk, run, and participate in physical education classes for prolonged periods of time; Supervise students in locker rooms both before and at the end of physical education classes; Assist physical education instructors in supervision of physical education activities in physical education classes;
