Mission Statement
The mission of Sierra Saving Grace Homeless Project (SSGHP) is to provide an inter-faith and community-based safety net for homeless individuals and families who are either underserved or not served by existing programs and services. Sierra Saving Grace promotes a housing first approach to solving homelessness, through the provision of intensive case management, advocacy, and services in recognition of the inherent worth and dignity of all persons.
Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to develop their administrative skills in a dynamic office environment. The Administrative Assistant will be the first point of contact for our clients and staff, providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Front Office Management
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Greet and assist visitors at the front office window.
Billing and Reporting
- Submit billing claims and invoices accurately and on time.
- Process and review work reports received from Central California Alliance for Health.
- Utilize medical billing and coding skills to assist in processing claims and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Office Supply Management
- Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory to ensure the office is fully stocked.
- Place supply orders as needed and maintain relationships with vendors.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient workspace for the team.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience:
o Previous administrative experience preferred but not required.
o Experience or knowledge of medical billing and coding preferred.
- Skills:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
o Basic knowledge of medical billing and coding principles.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
o Professional demeanor and friendly attitude.
o Bilingual (English and [Insert Language, e.g., Spanish]) is a plus.

o Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
o Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
- Starting pay range: $19 - $21 per hour, depending on experience.
