Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager for our banking client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in infrastructure project management to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, proven leadership abilities, and a track record of successfully managing all phases of infrastructure initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud migration, data center operations, networking, and cybersecurity, coupled with exceptional project management skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution :
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.Oversee end-to-end execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.Stakeholder Management :Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to align on project goals.
Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, reporting progress to executive leadership and stakeholders.Manage vendor relationships and ensure SLAs are met for third-party services.Technical Leadership :Provide expertise in infrastructure areas such as cloud adoption, data center migrations, server virtualization, network architecture, and disaster recovery.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and organizational policies during project implementation.Identify and resolve technical challenges in coordination with engineering teams.Risk and Change Management :Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain a risk log.
Lead change management efforts, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during project transitions.Monitor and adjust project plans to accommodate shifting priorities or unforeseen challenges.Performance Monitoring and Reporting :Establish KPIs and metrics to track project performance.
Prepare and present comprehensive status reports, highlighting achievements, risks, and next steps.Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate outcomes, lessons learned, and process improvements.Education and Experience
Minimum of 8-10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused on IT infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of infrastructure components, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, cybersecurity standards, and disaster recovery planning.Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred; technical certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCNA / CCNP, or ITIL are a plus.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering results.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Proactive leadership style with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.Preferred Skills :
Experience with hybrid cloud environments and legacy system modernization.Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation tools.Background in budgeting and financial forecasting for infrastructure projects.
