Sierra Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Sales Manager for one of our Top Industrial Machinery Manufacturing clients located in the Reno, NV area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong technical background and sales skills.

Responsibilities

· Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at the customer organization, with a focus on long-term partnerships.

· Execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements.

· Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements.

· Provide customized quotes based on those customer requirements, technical specifications, and volume needs.

· Ensure that quotes are competitive, clear, and aligned with customer expectations.

· Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial customer contact to final proposal.

· Serve as the technical expert for all customer inquiries regarding product specifications, integration, and performance.

· Offer solutions that ensure the customer will meet or exceed their operational requirements.

· Stay updated on product offerings and any new developments within the manufacturing process to inform customers accordingly.

· Collaborate cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and other internal departments to provide customer centric solutions.

· Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities while communicating such information to leadership team.

· Stay updated on industry trends, customer feedback, and competitive offerings.

· Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM system.

· Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management.

· Ensure that customers receive the highest level of service throughout the sales process and beyond.

· Work proactively with engineering and manufacturing to resolve any technical or product-related issues that may arise post-sale.

· Optimize project success with tailored training, installation, repair, and software options both pre and post-sale.


Qualifications

· 3 years of experience in technical sales or solutions engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.


Education

· Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with 3 years in a technical or industrial/commercial field, Associate’s degree with 5 years in a technical or commercial field, or a high school diploma with 7 years in the technical or industrial/commercial field will be considered.

· Knowledge of Industrial level Engineering, Plumbing, Electrical, Manufacturing and Oil/Natural Gas products is a plus.


Skills:

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).

· Strong technical knowledge of valve operation, specifications, tolerances, practical applications, and industry terms. Understanding of system manufacturing and engineering to meet customer requirements.

· Experience with product customization and troubleshooting.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as effectively communicate with international customers.

· Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Manufacturing and Support.

· Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with experience in handling proposals, contracts, and pricing discussions.


Preferred Skills

· Familiarity with CAD software or system design tools is a plus.

· Knowledge of Industrial Manufacturing Industry, Petroleum Industry, and/or Military Contract Management.

· Limited international and domestic travel to trade shows, industry conferences, and customer sites, as needed.
