General Services Coordinator - Full Time
Shift : 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm
Job Description : PATIENT POPULATION :
The patient population served can be all patients, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn. This also includes services which affect facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors and the general public.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the General Services Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and dispatching work crew to appropriate locations according to work order requests, specifications or needs. Relaying all work orders, message, special instructions and information to and from work crews and supervisors.
Must be able to work normal / scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours. As a designated disaster service worker you are required to assist in times of need pursuant to the California Emergency Services Act.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a high school diploma, or equivalent, college or technical school preferred; or related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
An applicant for this job position is required to provide a copy of their current CA driver's license along with a current DMV driving record printout as requested by the Hospital during the application process. The DMV driving record print out must be dated within one (1) week of the scheduled interview with the Hospital and must have the word ""END"" printed at the bottom of the driver's history report.
The employee must maintain a valid CA driver's license and current DMV report, the results of which are within acceptable standards as per SVMC policy as a condition of employment. The employee will also be required as a condition of employment to enroll in the DMV Pull Notice program to allow the Hospital to receive notice of any changes in their driving record.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence if required. Ability to speak effectively after groups of customers or employees of the Organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages if required.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of data base systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Must have experience distributing and communicating orders effectively.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions :
- Indicates Essential Function
- Schedules and dispatches work crew to appropriate locations according to work order requests, specifications or needs.
- Relays all work orders, messages, special instructions and information to and from work crews and supervisors throughout the General Services Department.
- Assists General Service Departments with record keeping of employee files, license certifications, and employee safety records.
- Compiles and computes data for routine business reports in an accurate and timely manner. Prepares memoranda, policies and procedures and correspondence related to the activities of the General Services / Projects Division, as needed.
- Maintains and communicates information regarding the Total Maintenance System for all of General Services in a timely manner. Audits Work Order database for work order completion rates and customer service goals.
- Assists the Administrative Director of General Services and Project Planning Department in developments and modifications also including Licensing & Certification and Joint Commission guidelines as required by code.
- Assists the Administrative Director of General Services with budget analysis, variance reports, and Accounts Payable coding pertaining to all General Services departmental pay codes.
- Achieves service expectations of department and General Services Division. Performs other duties and tasks as directed by the Administrative Director of General Services.
- Documentation reflects compliance with established Hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains and files Preventive Maintenance reports, assists EOC Manager with EOC rounding reports and Joint Commissions required documentation.
- Be in attendance on site and arrive to work on time.
