Chief Medical Officer.
Sierra Vista Hospital is a 171-bed full-service behavioral health facility, committed to providing top-notch care to patients and their families throughout Northern and Central California. We invite you to join our team and work in a supportive, collegial environment that values work/life balance.
Position Details:
- Full-time, 1099/Independent Contractor arrangement with a daily case load of 16-18 adult and/or child/adolescent patients.
- Inpatient setting with a focus on regular rounding, admissions, discharges, and treatment team leadership.
- Outpatient setting is available if interested in extra income.
- CMO duties include administration, management, development and clinical work. The ideal candidate will have Medical Director level experience and must have 3-5 years of clinical experience in an inpatient behavioral health facility.
- CMO monthly stipend is offered.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- MD/DO degree from an accredited program is required.
- Board certified in Psychiatry is required.
- Board eligible/certified in C/A Psychiatry preferred.
- Licensed to practice in the State of California or ability to obtain licensure.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience is preferred.
- Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to build a collaborative and supportive culture for our medical program.
- Strong management and proven leadership skills required.
- Ability to organize and facilitate meetings and outcomes.
- Willingly accepts direction in achievement of organization’s objectives.
- Organizational skills, including working collaboratively with others.
The Medical Director position is a highly visible and active role. Some of the duties may include:
- Supervision to other physicians and clinical staff.
- Program development.
- Medical Staff and Executive Team committee and meeting participation.
- Quality improvement initiatives, risk management and service utilization management.
