What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intelligent Transportation Systems Field Technician position at SIGNAL SERVICE INCORP?
About this Role: The ITS Field Technician will be trained to perform various technical tasks utilizing Intelligent Transportation Devices, networking and low voltage power. Upon completion of a multi-faceted training program, they will be able to troubleshoot, configure, test and start up various ITS devices and communication devices as well as have a general knowledge of transportation industry products and services. They should be able to concentrate on performing their tasks, commit to safety rules, and travel onsite with overnight trips as needed. Regular travel to job sites is required, consisting of local day trips, up to multiple overnight stays within the company territory of PA, NJ, DE, OH and KY.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting technical issues for various devices, both from office, and job site.
- Start up and configuration of various field devices.
- Executing test procedures for various field devices.
- Continued onsite and offsite training as required with product development.
- Customer facing interactions as needed.
- Assist in all areas of the company to build a working knowledge of all products.
- Various other duties as assigned by director, or company manager.

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Familiarity with small power and hand tools needed.
- IT networking knowledge (IP, Subnet, VLAN, L2) necessary.
- Mechanical, electrical, and computer aptitude and desire required.
