Job Summary: Responsible for all phases of Signal Training Solutions, LLC (STS) programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training and support for customers. This role encompasses railroad signal technical training, equipment and simulator quality assurance, training management, customer support, and project development to maintain and enhance baseline competency throughout our industry. The position involves both hands-on technical work and strategic program development.

Key Responsibilities:

Railroad Signal Technical Training

  • Deliver in-depth technical training on railroad signal systems, components, and operations.
  • Develop curriculum and instructional materials tailored to railroad signal training requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and advancements to ensure training programs are current and effective.
  • Provide hands-on training using simulators and real-world scenarios to enhance practical understanding.
  • Knowledge of applicable FRA regulations including 49 CFR Parts 233, 234, 235, 236, 243, and 246.

Equipment and Simulator Quality Assurance

  • Research and plan enhancements to training equipment, simulators and curriculum.
  • Repair and maintain training simulators to ensure functionality and relevance.

Training Management Support.

  • Develop, update, and maintain training programs, presentations, curriculum and manuals to ensure consistent quality and high standards.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized training facility conducive to learning.
  • Manage inventory and storage efficiently, ensuring availability of required materials and equipment.

Customer Support

  • Engage with customers to understand and address their training needs.
  • Provide high-quality support and build positive relationships through effective communication and service.

Project Development and Support

  • Conduct research to support new and ongoing projects.
  • Write, review, and proof technical documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Manage projects, including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
  • Deliver training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience and expertise in technical training or installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing of railroad signal systems.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing proficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a customer-focused approach.

Additional Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in railroad signaling.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% as required to support training and customer engagement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced engineering degree with expertise in field work.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, training program development methodologies, and signaling best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
