Job Overview
The PMO Leader will be responsible for managing the overall execution of all construction projects. This leader will bridge the gap between Design, Construction, and Service by implementing structured processes for scheduling, budgeting, and client communication. This role will oversee and support our current Project Managers, ensuring they can focus on field execution while high-level project coordination, financial oversight, and communication are handled at a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget Management & Cost Control
- Establish budget tracking systems to monitor project costs in real-time.
- Work closely with the VP of Operations & VP of Business Development to align financial expectations with actual expenses.
- Ensure that budget overruns are flagged and addressed early, rather than after completion.
Project Oversight & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain a master project schedule, ensuring all projects are executed on time.
- Proactively identify scheduling conflicts and coordinate with teams to resolve them.
- Implement standardized scheduling software or tools to improve tracking and visibility.
Client Communication & Experience
- Oversee client communications either directly or through our Project Managers.
- Provide weekly project updates to keep clients informed and engaged via email.
- Address concerns proactively, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for high-end clientele.
Team Leadership & Standardization
- Support our Project Managers by handling scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination.
- Implement best practices for project management, ensuring a standardized process across all projects.
- Develop reporting tools that provide our Executive Team with real-time project insights.
Operational Improvements & Growth Strategy
- Identify inefficiencies in current project execution and implement solutions.
- Work with leadership to scale operations without compromising quality.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve construction workflows and profitability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of experience in project management or construction operations.
- Proven track record of managing multiple high-value projects ($150K - $500K range).
- Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
- Experience implementing project management software/tools.
- Ability to work with Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Company
- Executives to drive efficiency.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in custom luxury pools, outdoor living, or high-end residential construction.
- PMP Certification or background in structured project management methodologies.
