Position Summary:
The Branch Manager plays a critical role in the company by ensuring seamless operations across departments and working closely with senior leadership to align the company’s development strategies with day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong, proven background in event planning and rentals, with a keen eye on profitability and operational efficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day workflow of the branch.
- Hire and train qualified candidates for department manager roles.
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive, providing recommendations of promotions and salary adjustment as appropriate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Establish and develop the branch’s short-term and long-term goals with the Vice President of Operations.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure the goals are clearly communicated as well as provide guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals.
- Provide regular performance and development updates to senior leadership.
- Analyze business and industry trends to identify new growth opportunities or potential risks
_ Profit and Loss Management_
- Oversee and manage the branch’s financial performance, including the development of budgets, allocation of resources, and monitoring of profitability.
- Regularly review financial statements and provide accurate reports to senior leadership.
- Identify areas for cost savings and process efficiencies without compromising service quality.
_ Operations and Logistics_
- Ensure smooth and timely coordination between the Warehouse, Dispatch, and Sales departments to meet client needs and event timelines.
- Ensure proper storage, maintenance, and transportation of inventory with the Warehouse, Inventory, and Dispatch departments.
- Address disruptions in service and operations in a timely and appropriate manner.
_ Compliance and Safety_
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to occupational safety and health.
- Facilitate and enforce the company’s comprehensive injury and illness prevention program.
- Conduct regular branch inspections and audits to verify that all equipment, vehicles, and facilities meet industry standards.
- Properly address and accurately report any accidents or incidents to Human Resources; work with Human Resources in the investigation and resolution of accidents and incidents.
- Record and maintain all applicable licenses, certifications, and permits; ensure that such items are kept up-to-date and in compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in event rentals or a similar industry, with a strong understanding of operations management.
- Proven experience in a leadership role with the ability to manage multiple teams and departments.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with senior leadership on business strategy and performance.
- Comprehensive understanding of industry safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event rental software is preferred.
