Job Description
The Procurement Manager will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and management of suppliers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality procurement of materials, components, and equipment for solar projects. This role requires strong industry knowledge, strategic planning, and supplier relationship management to optimize supply chain efficiency and support the company’s renewable energy initiatives.
A Successful Candidate Must Be Able To:
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company goals and project needs.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers for solar panels, inverters, batteries, and related materials.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and sustainability initiatives.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and project management teams to forecast material needs.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and industry developments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
A Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate:
Strong negotiation and contract management skills to secure competitive pricing and terms.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Proficiency in supply chain management, including risk assessment and performance monitoring.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize procurement processes.
Effective communication and leadership abilities to drive procurement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the solar, renewable energy, or manufacturing industry.
Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and supply chain analytics.
Knowledge of solar components, equipment suppliers, and industry regulations.
Strong budgeting and cost control skills.
